HeatPeek (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is designed to be simple and privacy-friendly.
This Privacy Policy explains what data HeatPeek accesses, how it is used, and what is not collected.

- HeatPeek does not sell personal data.
- HeatPeek does not track you across apps or websites.
- HeatPeek does not collect exact device temperature in °C/°F (iOS does not provide this to apps).
- HeatPeek stores basic app preferences locally on your device.
Data We Access
HeatPeek uses Apple-provided device signals on-device to provide app features:
- Thermal state (
ProcessInfo.thermalState)
Used to show heat levels such as Cool, Warm, Hot, and Very hot. - Battery state and level (
UIDevice.batteryState,UIDevice.batteryLevel)
Used to show battery context while using the app. - Low Power Mode status (
ProcessInfo.isLowPowerModeEnabled)
Used to display battery context. - Notification permission status
Used to determine whether optional heat warnings can be delivered. - Live Activity status
Used for optional Lock Screen / Dynamic Island updates.
Data We Do Not Collect
HeatPeek does not collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, or account credentials
- Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location
- Health data
- Browsing history
- Unique advertising identifiers for tracking
- Per-app heat attribution (iOS does not expose this to third-party apps)
- Exact hardware temperature in °C/°F (not available to third-party apps)
Local Storage on Your Device
HeatPeek stores selected settings locally (for example, accessibility preferences and warning toggles) using standard iOS local storage (UserDefaults).
This data remains on your device unless you remove the app or reset your device/app data.
Notifications
If you enable heat warnings, HeatPeek may send local notifications generated on your device.
These notifications are not used for advertising and are not sold.
You can disable notifications at any time in:
- iOS Settings → Notifications → HeatPeek
- HeatPeek in-app warning toggle
Live Activities (Lock Screen / Dynamic Island)
If you enable live status, HeatPeek can display thermal information on your Lock Screen and (supported devices) Dynamic Island.
This information is shown locally by iOS and is not sold by us.
Analytics and Third Parties
At this time, HeatPeek does not include third-party analytics, ad SDKs, or data brokers.
If this changes in future versions, this policy will be updated before or at release.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we do not share personal data with third parties for cross-app advertising.
Children’s Privacy
HeatPeek is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
You can:
- Disable notifications
- Disable Live Activities
- Reset app preferences
- Uninstall the app to remove local app data
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
